Designed specifically for storage system providers who want to improve the flexibility of their storage systems, the Emulex FibreSpy Model 850 Embedded Storage Switch is the third generation embedded storage switch that provides 4, 2 or 1Gb/s speed agile performance. The FibreSpy switches are specifically designed to meet the compatibility and cost effectiveness back-end root switching applications require. The FibreSpy Embedded Storage Switches are designed as a drop-in solution to deliver a 6 to 18-month time to market advantage for storage system suppliers who want to improve the reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS) and performance of their systems.
Product and Feature Description
The FibreSpy Model 850 Embedded Storage Switch is a 1U, half-rack form factor 12-port frame level switch. The FibreSpy Model 850 is a fully managed switch based on the Emulex FibreSpy SOC 804. Designed as a compatible replacement for existing InSpeed Model 350 customers, the FibreSpy Model 850 offers many of the same features currently included within the InSpeed Model 350 switch such as, Stealth Intelligent Change Manager, Zoning, Trunking, and built in RAS functionality with the industry's best diagnostic tools. In addition, the FibreSpy Model 850 is RoHS compliant to meet industry initiatives as customers move to qualify next generation storage solutions.
