The Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) CNA M72KR-E is a customized adapter based on Emulex’s OneConnect technology that gives Cisco UCS B-Series Blade Server customers a single, end-to-end view of their data center resources, offering a seamless transition to a fully unified and converged data center architecture. It delivers the following:

Flexibility and investment protection

  • The Cisco UCS M72KR-E provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) connectivity with Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) support using a single driver architecture from Emulex
  • Risk mitigation through compatibility with current Emulex adapter-based storage area network (SAN) environments and drivers
  • Protects investments in existing server, network, storage and facilities assets
  • Reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) through consolidation of LAN and SAN traffic over the same mezzanine card and fabric, reducing the overall number of network interface cards (NICs), host bus adapters (HBAs), cables and switches
