Emulex Expands Support for Customers of Oracle's Unbreakable Linux Support Program
Partnership Ensures Seamless Support for Oracle Enterprise Linux Across Emulex's LightPulse HBA Product Line
COSTA MESA, Calif., January 22, 2007 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced plans to expand support for customers of the Oracle® Unbreakable Linux support program across its LightPulse® HBA product line. Enterprise Linux users trust Emulex for their mission-critical Fibre Channel Connectivity needs and Emulex's participation in the Oracle Unbreakable Linux support program is a natural extension to its commitment to data center computing. Working in close partnership, Emulex and Oracle can now provide their joint customers a robust, fully supported solution.
Emulex and Oracle continue to provide drivers and other key solutions to the Linux upstream kernel and the open source community. Both companies will continue their coordination to provide enhanced security, data protection and connectivity solutions to the Linux developer and user communities. Emulex HBAs provide flexible, scalable connectivity to SANs and together with Oracle's Unbreakable Linux support, customers gain enterprise-class support for their Linux environments. Emulex products that are certified with Oracle Enterprise Linux, as part of Oracle's Unbreakable Linux support program, include 4Gb/s PCI-X and PCI Express HBAs, as well as previous generations of its 2Gb/s HBAs.

This level of comprehensive support is one of the reasons that customers have named Emulex 4Gb/s HBAs as their primary HBA for data center deployments. According to a recent survey by TheInfoPro, 49 percent of Fortune 1000 storage professionals surveyed named Emulex as their primary supplier of HBAs - twice as many when compared to its nearest competitor.
Emulex is a member of the Oracle® PartnerNetwork and Emulex solutions are currently supported under the Oracle Unbreakable Linux support program. Emulex solutions are also part of the Oracle Validated Configurations Program, which offers best practices to users for deploying Linux solutions.
