Emulex Announces $150 Million Share Repurchase Authorization

COSTA MESA, Calif., December 5, 2006 — Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the company to repurchase up to $150 million of its outstanding common stock over the next two years. The Company may repurchase shares from time-to-time in open market purchases or privately negotiated transactions. The share repurchases will be financed by available cash balances and cash from operations.
