Emulex InSpeed Embedded Storage Switch Deployed in Second-Generation of Pillar Data Systems Axiom Storage Systems

COSTA MESA, Calif., October 8, 2008 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that its InSpeed® SOC 422 Embedded Storage Switch has been deployed across the complete line of Pillar Axiom® storage systems from Pillar Data Systems. This is the second-generation deployment of Emulex's market-leading InSpeed switches within Pillar Axiom storage systems. The InSpeed SOC 422 is a trusted, enterprise-proven embedded storage switch that provides the world-class resilience, performance and RAS (reliability availability and serviceability) storage systems require.
