Emulex Delivers SAN Connectivity Solution for New HP BladeSystem c3000 Blade Enclosure
LightPulse HBAs Provide Midsize Customers, Remote Locations and Branch Offices with Industry Leading Scalability, Superior Reliability and Simplified Management for Server Blade Environments
COSTA MESA, CALIF., Sept. 12, 2007 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that the Emulex LightPulse® 4Gb/s LPe1105-HP Fibre Channel host bus adapter (HBA) is now available for use with the new HP BladeSystem c3000 enclosure.
The Emulex LPe1105-HP (HP Part# 403621-B21), which is certified by HP and generally available to customers, provides versatile, seamless connectivity for customers deploying the new HP BladeSystem c3000. With best-in-class quality and reliability, the Emulex SAN connectivity solutions also provide the unique management capabilities to streamline installation and deployment of SANs connecting to HP BladeSystem c-Class. The Emulex LPe1105-HP is already available for use by customers with the currently available HP BladeSystem c7000 blade enclosure.

The HP BladeSystem c3000, specifically developed for midsize businesses and those with remote locations and branch offices, coupled with Emulex SAN connectivity enables end users to gain the benefits of high performance networked storage in an infrastructure that is less costly, more energy efficient and easier to manage.

To reduce cost and simplify device administration, HBAnyware leverages Emulex's unique architectural capabilities, including firmware and boot-code upgradeability and driver-compatibility across multiple product generations. Hands-on independent testing validates that HBAnyware is easier to use and deploy and has a richer set of features than competing solutions.
