The BR-2401 is a highly integrated, state-of-the-art Fibre Channel (FC) to Serial ATA (SATA) Embedded Storage Bridge. The BR-2401 provides transparent canister-level emulation of FC disk drives to achieve a versatile, low-cost storage solution that is ideally suited to meet the nearline and high capacity demands for the enterprise storage market.  The BR-2401 enables SATA Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) to be inserted into any FC drive slot and be mixed with FC disk drive shelves within a storage system.
