For decades, the technology developed by Intel Corporation has enabled the computer and Internet revolution that is changing the world. Founded in 1968 to build semiconductor memory products, Intel introduced the world's first microprocessor in 1971. Today, Intel supplies the computing and communications industries with chips, boards, systems, and software building blocks that are the "ingredients" of computers, servers, and networking and communications products.

Emulex and Intel are constantly working together on a number of technology and product initiatives. Emulex was a key developer and partner with Intel on the next generation computer system architecture launch of PCI Express, as well as IA64, and more. In addition, Intel utilizes Emulex Fibre Channel technology in its Server Applications Enabling Program and its Enterprise Edge InfoCenter.
