Emulex Announces Availability of New 8Gb/s HBAs for IBM System x Servers: Emulex LightPulse® 8Gb/s HBAs help IBM customers wring maximum efficiency and benefit from their System x servers while transitioning to next generation SAN connectivity. The Emulex LPe12000 single-channel (IBM PN 42D0485) and Emulex LP12002 dual-channel (IBM PN 42D0494) PCI Express Fibre Channel HBAs offer increased bandwidth, manageability, CPU efficiency and advanced virtualization features. The new 8Gb/s HBAs also utilize the same Emulex drivers and management applications as Emulex 2Gb/s and 4Gb/s HBAs, offering a seamless transition to next generation SAN technology.
