The Emulex LP1105-BC (IBM part number 39Y9186) is a dual-channel 4 Gigabit per second (Gb/s) Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA) specifically made for the IBM BladeCenter. The RoHS compliant PCI-X to Fibre Channel HBA provides reliable, high-performance 4Gb/s connectivity, enabling high-availability to scalable storage in order to meet the needs of the most demanding applications and environments. The LP1105-BC HBA, in a mezzanine form factor, complements the other Emulex HBAs that are also offered by IBM for iSeries, pSeries, zSeries and xSeries servers.
Emulex has worked closely with IBM to deliver a next-generation HBA for the BladeCenter. The combination of the LP1105-BC and the IBM BladeCenter allows clients to realize the I/O bandwidth capabilities of the entire system; reducing complexity, improving systems management and increasing flexibility, while driving down total cost of ownership.
