- Emulex supports HP Virtual Connect with a new version of HBAnyware®

Emulex announced support for HP Virtual Connect with Emulex HBAnyware version 3.2. HP Virtual Connect is a new server-edge virtualization technology which aggregates blade server connections and enables users to more easily pool server resources for the HP BladeSystem c-Class.
HBAnyware simplifies HBA management by allowing the configuration and management of the Emulex HBAs in HP BladeSystem c-Class servers as well as all of the Emulex HBAs within the SAN. HBAnyware provides local and remote HBA management from a single console, which increases productivity, reduces downtime, and contributes to improving return on investment.
- HP Integrity Servers Support PCI Express 4Gb/s host bus adapters (HBAs)
- HP has announced support for Emulex LightPulse PCI Express 4Gb/s HBAs with the Integrity rx6600 and rx3600 servers. Emulex provided HP with 4Gb/s PCI Express HBAs with its ProLiant family of servers in September 2005 and HP has elected to qualify the same highly reliable HBAs with the Integrity servers. The HP A8003A (Emulex LPe11002) dual-channel and HP A8002A (Emulex LPe1150) single-channel PCI Express 4Gb/s HBAs are proven technology and provide systems with higher performance, a wide range of SAN connectivity options and can be ordered through HP or its authorized channels, distributors, and resellers.
