Emulex Named One of the 20 Most Strategic Storage Vendors According to Everything Channel
Emulex Selected by Storage Integrators as a Strategic Storage Partner for Driving FCoE Adoption
COSTA MESA, Calif., December 4, 2008 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that it was named one of the 20 most strategic storage vendors by Everything Channel's CRN. Everything Channel interviewed storage integrators who selected the companies they consider to be their most strategic partners.
Emulex was selected as a leader in the Fibre Channel host bus adapter (HBA) market, and for driving Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) awareness and adoption. Emulex recently announced FCoE-based converged network adapters (CNAs), giving SAN customers and their solution providers the ability to simplify their networking infrastructure by consolidating Fibre Channel and networking traffic over a 10Gb/s Enhanced Ethernet network, which in turn helps lower power and cooling costs.
