Emulex Named to CRN’s 2011 5-Star Partner Programs Guide

Emulex Recognized as a Leader in Channel Partner and VAR Offerings

COSTA MESA, Calif., March 28, 2011Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that CRN awarded the Emulex Connect Partner Program™ a 5-Star Partner rating in the CRN 2011 Partner Programs Guide, for excellence in its overall channel program.

The next-generation Emulex Connect Partner Program offers partner-specific content, Emulex Expert™ online technical and sales training certifications, bigger SPIFs, faster claims and higher profit margins designed to help Emulex’s channel partners and VARs maximize revenue and gross margins in the emerging network convergence market. Utilizing blogs, podcasts and webinars built around customer trends and pain points, the Program also includes an open, interactive and innovative community ecosystem to foster independent discussions around the transition to 10Gb/s Ethernet (10GbE) network convergence and 16Gb/s Fibre Channel.

“Emulex is honored to be recognized by CRN for our new Connect Partner Program,” said Shaun Walsh, vice president of marketing, Emulex. “The goal of the Emulex Connect Partner Program is to help our channel partners maximize revenue and gross margins, specifically as it relates to network convergence, and offer the resources and training to arm customers as they build their next-generation data centers with 10GbE and network convergence technology.”

CRN’s Partner Programs Guide and 5-Star Partner ratings serve as the definitive list of vendors with robust partner programs or products that service solution providers offer directly to the IT channel. The annual list recognizes the vendors who offer solution providers the best possible partnering elements for channel success.

“The companies listed on the 2011 Partner Programs Guide represent the best channel programs in the market today. Of those, only a few get our five-star award, based on their commitment to the channel, breadth of program offerings and services offered to their partners,” said Kelley Damore, VP and Editorial Director, Everything Channel’s CRN. “Each of these organizations understands that technology alone does not make for a successful channel program. By focusing on delivering a comprehensive partner program, vendors and solution providers can work together to drive business opportunities and revenue.”

The 2011 Partner Programs Guide and 5-Star Partners listing will be featured on CRN.com and in the March 28th issue of CRN.
