PRIMERGY mezzanine cards are – besides the I/O controllers on board - the central connection instances directly connecting the server blades and their internal storage media as well as the four I/O fabrics. They are being connected directly to the high performance midplane that provides a bandwidth of 6.4 Tbit/s; this guarantees a lossless, highly efficient data transfer to and from each of the eight connection blades. A wide range of various I/O protocols is processed herewith, from 1 and 10 Gbit/s Ethernet via 8 Gbit/s FibreChannel, 40 Gbit/s Infiniband to 6 Gbit/s SAS
 with RAID functionality. Even Converged Network Adapters for FibreChannel over Ethernet are part of the portfolio. Dual and quad port versions are available, fulfilling any requirement of today and tomorrow.

Dual port 10 Gb CNA Mezzanine Card

Based on the Emulex OneConnect Universal CNA family, the MC-CNA102E uses a 10 Gbit/s Data Center Bridging (or Converged Enhanced Ethernet) infrastructure for networking and storage, supporting reduction of capital expenses (CapEx) for adapters, switches and cables, and operational expenses (OpEx) for power, cooling and IT administration. The MC-CNA102E supports protocol offloads for FCoE, TCP/IP and TCP Chimney to provide maximum bandwidth with minimum use of CPU resources. iSCSI protocol is supported and iSCSI boot with protocol offload will be available short-term. For virtualized server deployments, OneConnect protocol offloads enable more VMs per server, providing greater cost saving to optimize return on investment.

The OneCommand™ Manager application provides centralized management of Emulex One Connect UCNAs, HBAs and CNAs throughout the data center from a centralized management console. TheOneCommand Manager application provides both, a graphical user interface (GUI) and a scriptable command line user interface (CLI) to optimize administration efficiency.
