Connect with Emulex

At Emulex, the community matters. Emulex is a strong supporter of the community and encourages and supports philanthropic activities. You see this commitment through our corporate values, one of them being Corporate Citizenship.

Corporate Citizenship

We are committed to being active, positive forces in the communities in which we live and work. We support organizations and educational institutions that promote the advancement of math and science education and research, and we support several local and national charitable and non-profit organizations. We are dedicated to providing work environments that are safe and conducive to our employees’ well-being. We endeavor to produce products that minimize their environmental impact throughout their lifecycle and to construct facilities that do the same. We seek out suppliers and partners who demonstrate a similar commitment to being good corporate citizens.

At a corporate level, Emulex is focused on contributing to K-12, arts, and science and engineering education. To show our commitment, Emulex plays an active role in the Mind Research Institute, a non-profit focused on improving K-12 math education in America in addition to Project Tomorrow, a business and education non-profit collaborative dedicated to enhancing K-12 science education in Orange County schools. Emulex is on the board of the University of California, Irvine's (UCIs) School of Engineering and furthers its commitment by providing UCI with an endowed chair. Emulex is also on the board of the Discovery Science Center, 2-1-1 Orange County and PBS Socal. Emulex contributes to the Pacific Symphony, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, the South Coast Repertory, and the Toshiba Senior Classic.

Donations have a great impact on our local charities, as does volunteering. In many cases, a donation of time is just as important as a monetary donation.

At each of its US and international locations, Emulex employees donate their time to local charities, such as local food banks and food drives, the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Capital Area Foodbank, Child Haven, Doctors Without Borders, the Lymphoma Society, Men Helping Men, Operation Backpack, Orange County Rescue Mission, Orangewood Children’s Home, Susan G. Komen Foundation, the UCI Center for Diabetes Treatment and Research, United Way, and Women Helping Women.

We find providing our employees with the opportunity to participate with a local charity not only reinforces commitment to our Corporate Citizenship value, it allows for great team building opportunities. We continue to show our commitment by encouraging our Interns to participate in "Interns give back," which designates one day during their internship to work at a local charity.
