Emulex Demonstrates Benefits of FCoE Connectivity for VMware-based Server Virtualisation Environments at SNW Europe 2008
WHAT:
At Storage Networking World (SNW) Europe, 27-29 October 2008, Emulex is showcasing the benefits of Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) for VMware virtualised server environments. Emulex is demonstrating the use of its VPort technology in enabling a seamless migration of virtual machines over 4Gb/s and 8Gb/s Fibre Channel, and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) storage networking topologies using VMotion running on a combination of blade and rack mount servers in the Solutions Showcase near Emulex's stand, #G11.
In addition, Emulex's LightPulse® FCoE Converged Network Adapters (CNAs) are being used exclusively as part of Cisco's converged network demonstration in the Cisco stand, #G10, and are included in the Brocade converged network demonstration in Brocade's stand, #P10.
Emulex will be participating in the 'FCoE Industry Panel' on Wednesday 29 October at 09:20 in room Fantasie 2 on level C3. In addition, Emulex representatives will be delivering presentations on the following topics:
