Emulex Provides LightPulse Fibre Channel HBAs for HP 8Gb/s Infrastructure Bundle
New HP Infrastructure Bundle Delivers Increased Bandwidth and Scalability to Better Support Growing Virtualised Server Environments
LONDON, November 4, 2008 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that its LightPulse® 8Gb/s Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) have been selected as part of a new HP 8Gb/s Fibre Channel infrastructure bundle. The HP 8Gb/s bundles are being delivered at a time when an increasing number of customers are turning towards virtualised server environments, which is driving higher SAN attach rates and increased I/O and bandwidth requirements.

Emulex HBAs featuring advanced LightPulse Virtual HBA technology, which allows end users to effectively "virtualize" SAN connections, leading to more efficient host utilization and compliance with SAN management best practices. In addition, Emulex HBAs support more Vports than any other HBA provider, aiding in increased scalability and return on investment.
