Emulex First to Demonstrate Integrated SAN Connectivity Capabilities within Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager at Microsoft TechEd SEA 2007

Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) is demonstrating the integration of its LightPulse® Virtual host bus adapter (HBA) technology with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) at this week's Microsoft TechEd SEA in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Designed for Microsoft Virtual Server environments, Emulex's VMPilot™ application coupled with SCVMM delivers enhanced storage area network (SAN) connectivity capabilities. This marks the first live demonstration of SCVMM with industry-standard N-Port ID Virtualization (NPIV) support using Emulex 4Gb/s HBAs
Emulex's award-winning VMPilot™ application simplifies the creation of virtual ports attaching Microsoft Virtual Server-based virtual machines to SANs. The combined Emulex and Microsoft solution allows administrators to seamlessly deploy and migrate SAN-based virtual machines while maintaining existing SAN management best practices.
Emulex has taken a leadership position in connecting virtual servers to the SAN and its VMPilot application is the only HBA management software designed specifically for Microsoft Virtual Server.
