Emulex Presents the Next Generation Data Center and Demonstrates Storage Provisioning Capabilities at IBM System x and BladeCenter Technical Conference
WHAT:
Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) will be discussing server virtualization and its importance to enabling the next generation data center at this week's IBM System x and BladeCenter Technical Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Emulex is also demonstrating its EZPilot™ storage provisioning and Storage Area Network (SAN) management solution which enables simplified SAN installation and deployment for HBAs, switches, and storage arrays, particularly for small-to-mid-sized enterprises.
As server virtualization continues to gain market acceptance, users are increasingly combining the benefits of physical consolidation (via blade servers) and logical consolidation (via virtualization) to increase the utilization of their resources. The integration of Emulex Virtual HBA technology with blade servers is becoming a widespread practice in data centers. Emulex 4Gb/s PCI-X and PCI Express Fibre Channel HBAs are being used in IBM System x and BladeCenter servers and offer streamlined installation and management, unrivaled scalability and industry-leading virtualization support that is ideal for any enterprise, even with mixed-OS SAN environments.
On Tuesday, July 17 at 4:15 p.m. Emulex is presenting a technical lecture entitled "Server Virtualization - New I/O Management Aspects." Emulex will also be participating in two technical laboratory sessions entitled "Emulex BladeCenter Boot from SAN and Fabric Management" on Wednesday, July 18 at 8:30 a.m. and "Emulex EZPilot SAN Management" on Thursday, July 19 from 8:30am - 9:45 a.m. Emulex's EZPilot storage provisioning and SAN management demonstration is being showcased in Emulex's Booth #34.
